That is another course done!
I got my results back from my final assignment last night, and with them comes the end of my current course as this course does not have a final exam.
While I didn’t do as well as I would have liked, on the final assignments, my overall mark for the course is A- with an 80 per cent overall average. Considering how busy I have been with work in addition to school, and how challenging the content of this particular course was, I’ll happily take yes for an answer.
With this course in the bag, I have three weeks off school before my my next one officially starts on Jan. 1, though as I have access to the course site and the text materials I may start doing some reading ahead if I have time.
The conclusion of this course will bring my course-credit total to about 1/3 the number needed to transfer it the Bachelor of Professional Arts in Communications program I want to get into, so I have a long ways to go hence the need to start doubling up in 2023.
As much of a pain in the ass as it is going to be, I know that the pain and heartache are going to be worth it in the end. I’m also in a lot better place to be able to handle everything now, compared to a few years ago.
The last few weeks are case-in-point of that. I’m maintaining at a tempo that I honestly didn’t think I would ever get to again. My coping skills are working. My meds are stable.
None of this means that the illnesses are gone, this just means that they have faded enough in the background that they are a less dominating force in my life.
I’m grateful my mental health recovery has progressed as far as it has.
I’m actually optimistic about the future ahead.
