Plans and goals…

I am happy to be coasting into the weekend after what turned into a fairly busy week.

I have a few things to work on tomorrow, but I should be able to get some good downtime as well this weekend.

My goal for tomorrow is to get the final tweaks done on my essay done, then do one last quick review of it on Monday before submitting. This essay has been a long time incoming, and it’s time to get it put to bed.

That said, I definitely have not been rushing it. I’ve been working on the essay here and there since before Christmas. It’s been a challenge, but it’s been one I’ve loved doing.

I’m also hoping to get myself back into my workout routine over the weekend. I have a replacement treadmill lined up that I am supposed to hopefully pick up tomorrow. A buddy is going to help me pick it up, with his truck. It will be nice getting back into that routine again.

Today was steady, if not overly busy. I headed into Stettler this morning to run some errands, and then this afternoon I got caught up on my billing and started reviewing my essay. This evening, I watched a few hours of television and finally let myself relax for a bit.

I was supposed to have an appointment with Dr. M at the centre yesterday, via telephone, however I somehow missed his call, which I feel bad about. I’m rescheduled to hear from him next Thursday, or possibly before depending on his schedule. I definitely need to make sure I don’t miss it next time.

Mentally, I’m feeling good. Sharp. Ready to take on the next challenge. I’m going to register for the continuation of my history course beginning March 1, and when that course concludes I will be done 20th century history. Once I get both parts of this history course done, my plan is switch back into English mode, and work on one or two courses from that part of my program.

It feels good to have plans and goals again. I have a spark lit inside me that is becoming a full blaze. I never thought I would get to this point, and I am not going to squander the opportunities before me.
