I am always grateful for light days.
With nothing on the agenda and with how fatigued I’ve been feeling I cut myself some slack today.
I played a couple hours of “The Outer Worlds,” did some reading for my next assignment, did a couple of miles on the treadmill, and participated in an online forum through FANExpoHQ. The forum I attended today was a writing forum, where the moderator was in conversation with Claudia Graysons, an author who has written some of the newer Star Wars novels.
This evening I met a friend for supper who I have been trying to connect with for awhile, and then virtually sat in on our town council meeting. It was a jam packed meeting, so I will definitely be getting two or three stories out of it.
The slow pace today is something that I needed. I was able to keep myself busy without feeling rushed. I’m enjoying getting into the gaming again, especially a game I haven’t made it that far in to, but I’m glad that I’ve been able to do it in moderation, and still do the other things that matter, like work on school or work out.
My workout today was a cardio day, and my pace is definitely improving. I stuck with my forty-five minute time, but increased the pace a bit, and successfully bumped over the two mile mark for the first time in I don’t know how long.
The improvements are not coming quickly, but they are coming, for which I am happy. I need to focus on that feeling.
The fatigue hasn’t been as bad today, though it’s definitely been there. Managing to take some time to rest has definitely been a help.
Tomorrow, I’m back at the grind. I have the articles to write from tonight’s meeting, reading for my course, and my Photoshop and photography courses in the afternoon.
Speaking of my photography, I feel bad that I haven’t been out shooting lately. Between the damn fatigue and how busy I’ve been otherwise, I just haven’t been able to find the time to shoot for myself . I have another five weeks of my photography course left, and seven of my Photoshop course. I’m planning to carve out some time when those finish up to go back out.
As much as I like taking pictures, between school, work, working out, etc, it’s unfortunately had to take a bit of a back seat for the time being. Still, all things considered I’m holding up pretty well.
