Today has been a day.
I slept in a bit, before getting up and heading into the office. I did a Facebook live announcing the winner of a draw that I was running on my photography business’s Facebook page. The winner ended up being a lady from Edmonton that Lynn knows. I ended up coordinating with her to see about doing the photo session she won.
After I finished up with that, I had class six of my Photography course that I’m taking on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The course is still very much in the basics of photography, but I am still managing to learn a new thing or two with each class. I’m looking forward to getting into the more intermediate and advanced topics.
After class, I had lunch, then met with M via Skype for our monthly appointment. I can’t believe it’s been a month since we’ve spoken last. I’ve been so busy with school and photography and everything else of late that the time flew by. He’s happy with where I am at, and though he’s wary of how much I have on my plate, he is being supportive.
After finishing with him I had my second class of the day, this time class 3 of a 32 class course on the ins and outs of Adobe Photoshop. I’ve been through tons of the tutorials that are offered on the Adobe website as part of the offering with my Photoshop subscription, however this course is managing to touch on things that even the Adobe website doesn’t cover. Each class I take, I’m coming away with something new, and I am really enjoying it.
When that class finished up, I headed downstairs for a stint on the treadmill. I ended up going at a slightly slower pace than my last workout just to keep my heart-rate down, but I still did over a mile-and-a-half in 40 minutes. The shoulder is still bugging me, so I haven’t tried getting into the weights again, but the treadmill is helping loosen me up.
Talking with M, I told him that I have been exercising again. I’ve said before how the amount of time I spend on the Playstation is a pretty good barometer for how I am feeling , and that the more I play, generally the worse I am mentally. M added a corollary to that, saying that the fact that I’m exercising, and generally being as productive I am, is an equally positive indicator for how I am doing mentally. He said the better I am, the more I seem to workout, which makes sense, because when I’m not well, I just can’t seem to be able to force myself to go do it. It’s food for thought anyways.
After I finished up on the treadmill, I cleaned up then did some creative writing before a board meeting for one of the boards I am on. Thanks to the current world situation, we haven’t met since February, and tonight’s meeting was done on the phone via conference call. We are aiming to meet in person for our September meeting, but we shall see.
On the bright side, what I was expecting to be a rather long meeting ended up clocking in at just over an hour long. With the extra bit of downtime I managed to get some more creative writing done as well as getting a blog post up. All in all it’s been a busy day.

Tomorrow should be a bit slower, since I’m at the book store in the afternoon.
