I’m sitting at over 560 blog posts since I started this journey in the fall of 2017. That’s a lot of time behind the keyboard.
I am grateful from my community support in doing this blog, and have no plans to end it any time soon, however lately I have been thinking about what my goal is with the blog.
Up to this point, it has been a place where I have consistently opened my heart and soul, discussing the highly stigmatized recovery from mental illness. I’m proud at what I have accomplished so far in the blog. I’m proud of the chronicling of my journey.
However, at over 560 posts, I feel like my audience should be wider. I have been hovering around the 100 follower mark for quite some time, and I’m not sure what to do to attract more followers.
Would set blog days help, say movie review Wednesdays, Mental health Fridays, etc?
I have prided myself in being open and honest in my blog, discussing what I deal with and how the illness has affected my life, and I don’t intend to change that.
For now, I want to set some goals:
1.) I’d like to grow my follower count to 150 by the end of summer.
2.) I’m going to dedicate at least one blog post per week to my photography. The post will be either showcasing my work, or tips and tricks in Lightroom, Photoshop, or ACDSee, the three pieces of software I use.
3.) I’m going to work on developing my brand and business, creating quality content that people want to see, but that means I need your help. I need to know more of what people want to see more of.
As usual, thanks for following along.
