I was up and out early to take a friend to an appointment in Coronation, then after that it was taking laundry over to B’s place since our washer is still not working. Hopefully it’ll be fixed early next week, because this is getting annoying. You don’t realize how much you use something until it breaks. On the bright side, it’s still under warranty so the repair isn’t costing us anything but time.
I’ve managed to get some work done while I sit at B’s though.
I was taking pictures out at the Castor Rodeo last night and managed to get some decent shots for the paper, to the point I don’t think I need to go back for day two. I had my friend’s boy with me as well, and had him set up with my older camera and had him taking some pictures, some of which I am actually submitting.
Overall I had a good time, and took some good imagery, but nothing was quite up to the shots I took last year. Oh well.
After I finished up doing Laundry at B’s it was time to head home. I had a chat with the construction guys, who were waiting on the concrete truck to get here, and we discussed the fence project.
When I finally made my way inside I laced up my runners and hit the treadmill for my daily workout. Today was a new record for me, 3.25km in 65 minutes. That was my furthest and fastest workout to date. I’m definitely good about the progress I am making.
Seeing as this week has been an absolute gong show with activities every night for either Lynn or I, I’m thinking that tonight will be a nice night to stay home and spend some time with each other.
That said, there is a ball game at the diamond in town so I may go up and check that out. We shall see.
The rest of the weekend is going to be steady. I’m covering the Battle River Ride for STARS, which is entering it’s 11th year, tomorrow, church on Sunday, then Red Deer on Monday for an appointment with M. While I’m in the county tomorrow for the ride I may see about taking some photos for my county project as well.
It feels good being steady. I’m loving that I have purpose again. It’s been a long and bloody battle, but it feels like I’ve actually found a break in the fighting. I appreciate the support of the people who follow me, and help me remain accountable to myself by taking interest in the points of interest in my journey.
It has definitely helped me keep going even when I’ve felt like giving up.
