Change in weather

What a turn in weather.

It’s actually gotten downright chilly in town, and fortunately the chill has brought along rain with it. Our area has been sorely lacking in moisture and the rain is definitely a good thing, even through it is unfortunately hampering the kid’s Show & Sound at the school.

I’m not going to complain though, because I know we will be warming up again soon enough.

Lynn is taking off for the weekend after she gets done at the church. She is on her way to a ladies retreat at a nearby bible camp. I hope it gives her the relaxation and recharge that she needs.

I’ve started laying the ground work for my trip. I’m taking off for a few days starting Wednesday, and am looking forward to the opportunity to take in a movie, visit with friends and recharge in general.

Unfortunately some friends I was hoping to see aren’t going to be around during that time, but there’s not much I can do about that.

For this weekend, I’m covering the store today and tomorrow, and taking it easy tomorrow night and Sunday. tonight I’m going for supper with B after I close the store, so I’ve got a lot keeping me busy.

Lynn and I had another good chat last night. We talked about the Mac vs. Windows dilemma, and outside of cost, she highlighted a lot of perks of going Mac. If I spend what I think I’m going to for a new MacBook, I’m 99.9 per cent confident that it will be my last computer upgrade for the next five to seven years. I just don’t know that I’m sold on spending that much for a new computer.

On the plus, if I do, it will have me ahead of the technology curve, and have been functioning for years to come. On the minus, it’s a crap ton of money to put out. I definitely appreciated the fact that Lynn and I could talk through this.

Mentally, I’m dragging ass today.

I did get up and get a workout in first thing which definitely helped, but I have a feeling of underlying fatigue as I move throughout my day. Between the store and photography though I’ve been kept occupied which is also helping keep me level.

All in all, I’m keeping busy this weekend and am definitely looking forward to some relaxation next week.
