This week has been busy. I had a road trip to see my psychologist on Tuesday, appointment with my GP on Wednesday, and my weekly road trip to Edmonton today. I am beat.
The appointment I had with my psychologist was good. He is quite happy with where I am at mentally at the moment, and has agreed to drop me to monthly appointments for the time being, and he said if I need to I can call and get in sooner.
When I saw my doctor a few weeks ago to get my ultrasound results, she sent me for blood work as part of my yearly medical review. I got the results yesterday. That was a bit of good news/bad news. Good news is most of my bloods came back in normal range, and my blood pressure is bang on where it needs to be. The bad news, however, is my hemoglobin A1C, which is the three month snapshot of my blood sugars, come back elevated, so I’ve had to increase my meds a bit. However with my current exercise regime and the adjusted meds, my sugars should stabilize again fairly quickly.
Speaking of my exercise regime, I’m currently doing around one and a quarter miles a day on the treadmill, and am planning on re-integrating weights into my program within the next few days.
Overall I am feeling good. I just need to remind myself of this feeling when I swing again.
